How to become a Member of the Pittwater Aquatic Club
The PAC is a co-operative with a limited on the number of members. Because of this there is a wait list to become a member. Those wishing to apply for membership should complete the attached form and when received by the Club will be placed on the Membership Wait list. Each year the club has an induction meeting and accepts new members off the top off the wait list. Membership Application
The Club is suited to boat or soon to be boat owners who like to do their own maintenance and or want to have easy access to Pittwater.
To gain membership to the Co-operative the above form is required to be completed by the Applicant and seconded by two current members. It is important that any change in contact details are communicated to the Club while on the waiting list for membership. If at time of offer the Club is unable to make contact with you, your name is removed from the Membership Wait list
Membership Wait List
Your completed membership application form is presented at the next Board Meeting. You will receive acknowledgement of receipt of your application form and that you have been placed on the wait list. You can track your progress on the wait list by reviewing the attached file which is updated bi annually. It is your responsibility to advise the Secretary at info@paclub.com.au if your contact details change.
We encourage applicants to review the clubs website and read the PAC Journal to keep up to date with happening around the club. When your name approaches the top of the list you will be contacted to confirm you still wish to proceed and your contact details are still current. You will then receive a letter from the club outlining the time and date of your induction meeting where you will meet the board, the operation of the Club is explained, fees are paid and keys and club burgee are received. You are encouraged to attend the induction before making the decision to proceed or withdraw their membership offer.
The induction meeting is usually held on a Saturday in the first month of the clubs financial year (April).

Related to the management of the membership waiting lists
Q1 – How do I get on the membership wait list?
A – Any one can request to become a member by completing the Membership Application Form and forwarding with the appropriate application fee to the club Secretary.
Q2 – How do I get a proposer or seconder?
A – If you do not know any members currently in the Club, please contact the secretary at paqclub@tpg.com.au to arrange a meeting and they can assist in this process.
Q3 – How long is the wait list?
A – Historically between 20 and 30 members a year are accepted into the club.
Q4 – I have a vessel in survey and or used commercially – can I be a member?
A – Yes you can be a member but your vessel will not be able to access any of the clubs facilities. Applicants for membership in such circumstances may not receive any benefits from joining the club and should discuss with the Secretary prior to completing application form.
Q5 – What happens if I am on the wait list and fail to advise the club of my new contact details?
A – If the club is unable to contact you when you approach the top of the list your name will be removed from the wait list. If contact is reestablished in the future at the boards discretion your name may be placed back on the top of the wait list or you can complete a new membership application and make payment to have your name added to the bottom of the wait list.
Q6 – How do I update my contact details?
A – Send an email to the Secretary at paqclub@tpg.com.au with your new contact details.
Q7 – I have had second thoughts and undecided on whether to proceed – what do I do and do I get my application fee refunded?
A – You are encouraged to attend the induction meeting to better understand the Club how it works and what the possible benefits could be for your circumstance before you make your decision. The Application fee is non refundable.
Q8 – As a wait listed applicant for membership can I go on the facility wait lists?
A – No. Only members are eligible to have their name on facility wait lists. The induction meeting is usually the time members enter their name on to wait lists
